a man's joy in shopping

Men and Shopping!

Shopping is something that men aren’t very inclined to do, unless it’s buying the latest game console or buying auto parts for their beloved car.

I’ve noticed that every time I drag a male friend to the mall to help me with shopping, the lack of enthusiasm is hard to hide. Not that they make much effort to do so.

The only time men try to conceal their dislike for shopping is when they are courting a girl and putting their best foot forward, or if they are truly devoted to their partners and willing to tag along wherever they go.

Well since it’s the holiday season, I’m afraid men have to brace themselves to do some shopping.

It’s going to be a challenge, especially when they are trying to find romantic gifts.

To give them a hand, here are some ideas that they can consider and perhaps even customize.

His and Her Shirts

This is an adorable trend, which I’ve noticed is popular among Koreans.

Korean couples also like to wear coordinating clothes that may have the same print or color.

Guys would probably balk at the idea of wearing cutesy his and her shirts.

But I think they would cringe more on the idea of wearing the same prints.

Still, I think it would be nice to occasionally indulge your sweetheart’s whim like wearing silly shirts that proclaim your love for each other.

Christmas and the New Year holiday season would be one of the perfect times to do that.

Give it a try out, OK?

His and Her Pillowcases

I once saw this item online and thought they were cute.

I was reminded about them when I saw a couple friend proudly brandishing their pillowcases like banners of their enduring love despite the distance.

Yes, they are committed in a long distance relationship and loud and proud about it.

They posed with each of the pillowcases, which form the word love when placed next to each other.

How do I know this?

They created a collage of pictures with their happy pillowcases.

It can be a little embarrassing for some males to use this, especially when their other friends may see it and tease him mercilessly about it.

Still I believe that when you truly love someone, all the teasing and embarrassment will be worth it.

For all you know, your male chums could actually be just jealous of your happy love affair, which is why they tease you.

Jewelry

Jewelry for me will always be a romantic gift because men don’t usually buy expensive stuff unless they are truly committed.

It’s not the expense that counts but how much thought was put into choosing that gift.

I know it’s not easy for men to go inside jewelry stores, so another option that’s less embarrassing for them is to browse through online sites like David Yurman, so they can have an idea of the design that their partners might like.

When choosing jewelry for your sweetheart, keep in mind her likes and dislikes, including her favorite color and type of accessory.

Do you know what I'm talking about?
