You Want a Rocking Summer Escape?

summer getaways - yummy
Ahh Summer – Can you see yourself here?

Ah summer!

One of my most loved seasons; the season of romantic getaways.

Whether you’re looking to:

  • escape the daily grind
  • go stargazing, lounge on sunny beaches
  • explore deep and shady woods, or
  • spend one-on-one time with your lover

… here are more ideas to make summer hotter and more exciting.

Rent a Beach House

All of my friends know I’m a sucker for beaches.

When my boyfriend surprised me with a three-day stay in a beach house in North County, San Diego, I was super psyched!

Imagine: you and your partner in a secluded home on a quiet beach.

The view of the horizon is to die for and the only things that are on your list are cuddling, cooking, hugging, and kissing.

Is there anything else you need to set the mood?

If you’re short on cash, you can either make the reservation early on or look for last minute deals on private beachfront properties.

To further cut down on costs, I can recommend renting a larger home with many rooms, if you’re open to having other couple friends around.

The more heads, the lesser expenses.

Go Camping – A Summer Getaway in the Wild!

Another one of my favorites is going on camping trips. It’s romantic because you get to spend uninterrupted time with your significant other.

One of the best camping experiences I had was in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Aside from enjoying clean air and abundant sunshine, we had an intimate time together (which involved a lot of cuddling!).

We pitched a tent, watched the sunsets, and woke up to a picturesque mountain view.

However, this may not be a good idea for inexperienced campers.

Visit the Caribbean

Spanning over a hundred beautiful islands, the Caribbean is a very popular destination not only for couples, but for people all over the world.

Of all the islands, Jamaica is the one to fly off to, if you’re looking to maximize your romance.

Jamaica is best known for its humid nights, lively party scene, and romantic charm.

In fact, couples from over the world head to Jamaica to tie the knot. If you’re not planning to get hitched yet, you can simply fall into each other’s arms in a beach hammock and share tropical drinks as you listen to the carefree sounds of reggae’s finest.

If you wish to add luxury to your romantic trip, book one of Jamaica’s all-inclusive resorts.

All you need to do is pay before you stay and you’re sure to wake up the next morning ready for another day in paradise. Isn’t that grand?

Cross the Border

If you think the Caribbean is too far away, and if you’re up for a traditional road trip, head south of the border for instant relaxation.

Mexico is known for its lavish resort locations that will make you and your partner get the time off you’ve always wanted.

Poolside cocktails, unlimited fun in the sun, and great accommodations would definitely bring the both of you closer than ever!

Fly to Vegas for the Summer Getaway Weekend

As opposed to Lake Tahoe’s calm ambience, Las Vegas is the one place where lively summer nights never end.

If you’re the type of couple who enjoys parties, unlimited booze, dancing, and unforgettable nights, a weekend stay at the entertainment capital of the world would be the ideal escape.

Since Las Vegas is packed during the summer, book ahead of time.

While there, play naughty and nice and party all night long.

Don’t forget to pack your sexy undies!

After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?

Do these sizzling ideas instantly set the mood?

Enjoy your sexy summer getaway!
