I never ever thought I’d get into a long distance relationship but it just happened, with a wonderful lady I met at a business conference. We struggled for months to find the right way to deal with everything and it looked like we were going to breakup.

As a professional sailor, I have been involved with a number of ladies in long distance relationships. They’ve all ended pretty terribly I have to admit and all lasted only a few weeks. OK, I’m not good at them and I’m writing this because I hear so many other people aren’t good at them either.
