travel dating could see you and some romance in some exotic places

Try Travel Dating

Thanks to the Internet, finding the love of your life isn’t confined to your own place anymore.

Today, more men and women are getting into travel dating.

romance, travel, dating what a combo
Romance, travel, dating what a combo!

We’ve already explained it before, but for those who haven’t checked it out yet, it’s traveling while getting to know the other person more.

Simply put, it’s possible that solo travelers meet at their preferred destination and share experiences from the journey.

Almost always, the chosen travel partner or companion is known via the Internet.

Travel dating is gaining popularity because it’s exciting, romantic, and successful as many people have truly found their love of their lives in this manner.

Needless to say, it’s always best to prioritize your safety above everything else with these tips:

Get to Know As Much As You Can About the Person.

Don’t limit yourself to what’s written in the profile.

You can communicate through phone, e-mail, or snail mail.

If you live very close, you can try to meet once or twice prior to your departure for the holidays.

Get to know some of his interests, his job, his outlook in life.

As much as you can without really intruding on his privacy or asking for too much information.

Besides, you want to make sure that he’s someone you can count on during traveling.

Plan Ahead.

It’s great to be wild and spontaneous in your travels.

But unless you’re already at a stage where you’re comfortable with each other and understand differences in interests, it’s best to have a good plan beforehand.

Determine where you’re planning to stay, what sights to visit, how to commute, and what activities to do.

Along the way, there may be some discussions and compromises that have to be made, but this is also a good test on how well your companion manages stress, differences, and arguments.

Know your Goal.

Have a very clear idea of what you want to happen during your date.

Not all travel girls would like to take their companionship to a whole new level and would prefer to consider such trips as short-term romances.

When you know what you want to achieve, you basically know how to act during your trip.

If you are not looking for a relationship, perhaps you can stay in separate rooms or choose activities that would be fun but not too intimate.

Understand Their Culture.

If you’re dating a guy or gal from another country, it’s ideal if you can study at least a bit about his beliefs, customs, traditions—his culture.

The last thing you want to happen is to offend him because of your ignorance.

For instance:

  • French men tend to fall in love very fast, and they view flirting back as a sign that you’re interested in a relationship.
  • In Brazil, men prefer exclusive dates, and they find group dates kind of boring.

Never Be Afraid to Say ‘No’.

No man should force himself on someone.

If you feel he’s going overboard or if he is making you feel uncomfortable, then be honest about it.

Speak Your Mind, With Your Opinion

  1. This is the most risky kind of dating that I have ever known. My friend was robbed twice by his girlfriend on one of his leisure trips. One must be cautious and not lose it all ;) specially when traveling. Great share.

    1. Oh my goodness, Fatima – that’s terrible to hear.
Not surprising though. with any new relationship there’s a certain element of risk and the unknown involved.
I would have thought your friend would’ve learnt from the first time he was robbed by his ‘girlfriend’. Why did he continue with her?

  2. Travel dating is indeed a great thing. With the advent of technology, dating has become a lot simpler and easier. You can always visit each other’s profile on the social media, or hook up each other with long chats and all. The intensity of the dating and love matures as one gets to know each other. The point here is no to become rigid on any issue. Just go with the flow. Thanks for the share.

    1. Well, I don’t know about dating being simplier just because we’ve got technology that is suppose to make things easier.
It also opens the Pandora’s Box about high levels of snooping someone’s electronic communication, the fast paced world now almost requires instant replies and a whole lot more stuff that we never had 20 years ago.
Have you tried travel dating yourself, in the past, Aayna?
