Choose To Live Life, Not Smoke It
When the scientists talk about living a healthy life, they almost always stress the fact that you have to live drug-free in order to live long and prosper.
There is a reason for this, as using drugs will affect many aspects of your life and your health. When people start using drugs, they usually neglect these negative effects, because using drugs makes you feel invincible.
The truth is, sadly, quite the opposite.
There are many articles around which tell us about the risks of abusing drugs and the anti-drugs campaigns have made sure that we all know that, for example, marijuana is a ‘gateway drug’, or that ‘there is no going back’ once you’ve tried heroin.
On the other hand, no one tries to explain the benefits to your health that you get when not using any drugs.
Perhaps this would be a good way to start.
Teenagers, with their usual curiousness, will have a go at anything that would make them experience something new, be it an addiction or reaching a new level of consciousness.
This is why I am going to explain how your health will be better when you do not use drugs, as this will not give teenagers any new ideas.
You Will Look Better and Feel Better
People who are not doing drugs usually look much better than those people who do.
The reason is simple:
people who do not use drugs take better care of their bodies and minds.
Drug users tend to disregard the way they look, their physical hygiene and their mental state.
Because the only thing that is important is getting more drugs.
So, instead of spending money on proper clothes, hygienic products or anything else that might improve their way of living and overall health and cleanliness, a drug addict will spend all the money on drugs.
Eventually, lack of hygiene will lead to many infections, some of which will remain with you for the rest of your life.
Your Mental Health Will Remain Untouched
It is natural that your brain cells deteriorate over time, but there is no need to speed up the process by abusing various substances.
Almost all drugs that are illegal (and even some that are legal) affect the way your brain works and, in all cases, for the worse. The brain is the most vital organ for the functioning of your entire body, as it controls all the bodily functions.
Should you steer clear of the drugs, your brain will remain unaffected by these substances and you will be able to enjoy your sanity for the rest of your life (unless you have some sort of mental disorder).
Drugs are one of the primary causes of erectile dysfunction and infertility.
This goes out for most drugs, but primarily for the use of heroin, cocaine (small doses can increase sexual performance, but larger doses and continuous use can easily cause you to not perform in bed, at all) and inhaling marijuana seeds.
Should you avoid using drugs, you will be able to have a long and successful sexual life, which is something that everyone wants.
Your Immune System Will Remain Intact
Marijuana smokers constantly suffer from lapses in their immune systems, as this drug suppresses it.
This is why they get sick all the time.
While this may be attributed to other causes, as well, it has been scientifically proven that the use of marijuana greatly damages the immune system and leaves you prone to many illnesses that lurk at every corner.
If you wish to live a healthy life and not get sick often, then you should steer clear of marijuana. Also, many other drugs affect the immune system, as well.
Preserving your immunity to diseases is of utmost importance, because that is the primary key to not dying young.
Avoid Temptation From The Benefits
So, to conclude, while drug abuse may sound tempting to many people all around the world, there are many benefits to steering clear of drugs.
These are only some health benefits and there are many more. If you think that you, or someone in your surroundings, might have a problem with drugs, feel free to seek legal help. There are many lawyers out there who can help you with your problem and prevent you from going to jail. Some of them are also able to recommend doctors who can help you with your problem.
If you react quickly, the negative effects of drug use will not last long and you will be able to resume your normal life.
