Why Spice and Love?
When you are one of those people that are all-work-and-no-pleasure, you usually do not have time to eat or even to think about healthy diets.
Due to my stressful job and extended working time, I eat fast food, a lot.
Although I experienced lack of energy and concentration, and above all excitement in life, in work, in sex, somehow I did not realize the connection between food and my overall performance.
The most important thing for me was to meet the deadlines.
I read about healthy nutrition and heard people talking about it, but I could not force myself to change the habits.
Under these circumstances, everything took me by surprise.
In a word, bad nutrition affects your hormones and slows down your libido – that is what I learned and experienced.
The sooner you realize that, the better your sex life would be (at least it was in my case).
How Blueberries and Strawberries Became My Favorite Food?
Although it was hard for me to admit that my sexual performance was lacking in many ways, once I did, I decided to make some changes – that’s how I bought strawberries.
Yes, I ate them before, but after I heard many praises about this food (from personal experiences), I decided to research a bit.
I was skeptic at first, but over time, I substituted my usual snacks with these fruits.
At one point, I read that blueberries stimulate brain’s pleasure center, and strawberries influence on good mood – so I started including them in breakfast menu as well.
I added them to my weekly sex-drive grocery list, and I had never thought that I would end up creating one.
According to the studies, both blueberries and strawberries are great for circulation and we all know why circulation is important – it helps with erection – enhanced blood flow is necessary to achieve and maintain erection.
For women, clitoris stimulation is achieved through good circulation as well. Another advantage of these fruits is their ability to help the kidneys function better, and kidneys are organs for sexual prowess. So, is it all just on paper or does it work?
As I said, I was skeptic, but it worked great for me, and when I say great, I do not mean just the improvement of my sexual life; I also feel more energy and more concentration.
Therefore, these fruits became my first choice.
What Other Food I Included in My Sex-Drive Grocery List?
I have always liked cinnamon, and now I like it even more.
Cinnamon has a long history of usage as a spice that increases sexual performance – it heats up the body and boosts the sex drive. I read that people used to rub just a drop of cinnamon oil on their genitals to increase the sexual stimulation.
Although I didn’t try it, I believe it works :)
Cinnamon became my number one spice – and I eat it all the time. A warm glass of milk with cinnamon will do the work, for instance.
As I said before, I work extra hours, so I do not have much time to think about food, although I do try my best to eat regularly and healthy.
If you are also packed with work even on weekends, try eating more nuts and seeds.
Handful of almonds every other day is excellent for sex hormones. Apart from that, almonds help enhance additional energy and stamina, and we need that too.
When I do not eat almonds, I opt for pumpkin seeds. Zinc is the most important ingredient in pumpkin seeds; it helps the creation of healthy sperm. One tablespoon of pumpkin seeds a day helps increase testosterone levels in the body.
Food rich in B vitamins keep the sex drive up and bananas are rich in riboflavin (vitamin B2).
Avocados are also rich in B vitamins.
One more advantage of avocados are unsaturated fats that are great for arteries, thus for blood flow and circulation. I eat fruits high in B vitamins to boost my mood, as well.
Brown rice is the right food for stamina. Magnesium in rice helps with muscle contraction and aid orgasm.
Chocolate probably has the longest history of usage as an aphrodisiac, although researchers are not sure how cacao is linked to sexual stimulation.
However, one thing is sure – if one wishes for a night to remember, dark chocolate is a must. Chocolate affects the level of serotonin and endorphin – two chemicals that play a significant role in sexual arousal.
What Else Have I Learned?
Include as many aphrodisiacs as possible in your everyday nutrition.
Prepare meals with your partner.
One glass of wine will help you relax. However, more than two glasses will impede sexual performance.
What Else Should You Know?
Let’s be honest – those sex-related studies and researches tend to overvalue the importance of food.
If you want to have a passionate love life, do experiment with food, but remember, what worked well for others, might not work well for you.
You have my experience, but maybe your grocery list will be longer.
